Notes from the director: Thank you for attending or tuning in to our 2023 Edina High School Fall Orchestra Festival! This evening’s performance will spotlight the incredible talent of the Edina Orchestra Program. For the first concert, audience members will get a sneak preview of some of the tunes we’ll be taking on tour this spring with members of Sinfonia, Varsity and Concert Orchestras! It seemed fitting that all three groups perform together to close out Concert #1 - This is the way…
Stick around for Concert #2 to hear the class of 2027 9th grade Repertory Orchestra debut followed by the wonderfully talented 12 grade pianist and violinist, Leo Mellum, playing an excerpt from Chopin’s piano concert No. 2. Leo has been working toward this performance opportunity all summer by not only learning the piano solo, but also rearranging and condensing the original score to fit on our string orchestra! Lastly, Concert Orchestra will close the evening with a string arrangement of Saint-Saëns Danse Bacchanale which we hope will keep you on the edge of your seats!

The Edina Orchestra Boosters is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching our district's exceptional 5-12 orchestra program. With your help, we can continue providing life-changing opportunities like:
Sponsoring unforgettable programing of international artists such as last years Electrify Your Symphony
Supporting beginning and intermediate string players with the purchase of new instruments and repair costs of our growing fleet
Providing financial assistance for students' meaningful tour participation
Funding elementary, middle, and high school concerts, events, and receptions that create cherished memories
Last year, Edina Orchestra Boosters gave over $14,000 directly back to the orchestra program and this was all made possible by the family and business support. We need your help now to keep inspiring Edina's future orchestra program to bring more memorable experiences to all our students.
Please consider becoming an Orchestra Booster with a donation today! Or ask your employer to contribute on your behalf. Every gift makes a difference and will directly impact this year, and the years to come!
